The San Diego Union-Tribune Editorial Board began surveying candidates in local, county, state and congressional races in March and publishing the following Q&As in the newspaper and online in April. Our plan is to publish all of our Q&As by Sunday, May 22, allowing voters who decide to wait ample time to spend with the surveys and any additional research before the June 7 election. Soon, we will also publish candidate endorsements to give voters more to consider so check back here. We didn’t send surveys to every candidate or in every race.

If you have comments or questions about the election or any of the candidates after reading this interview, please email Editorial and Opinion Director Matthew T. Hall at [email protected].
